Howie Appel - Orlando, Florida
  • I graduated from NHS in 1965. Used to live in the heights. Where can I find my classmates? I now live in Orlando, Florida. I love it here. Miss the change in seasons, disliked the snow, love the sunny and warm Central Florida skies.

  • Hello fellow Needhamites and ex-fellow Needhamites!

    Greetings from Plymouth(Mass)on Plymouth Bay.

Fall is in the air and my mind goes back to Needham vs Wellesley football fun and rivalry, way back when to NHS Class of '62!

I'm posting our business homepage for Colonial Saw, maybe some of you locals remember Paul Ravinski from The Falls?(Newton Class of '57)

I'm born and raised in The Heights, across from The Cricket Field. I remember treat or treating as a kid, going to the Carter mansion and hoping for a BIG LOAD of candy bars! One time we kids were chased off someone's property by a guy with a shotgun! WAHOO!!

Anyway, lived to tell the story.....(GRIN)!

Love to hear from any of the Old Gang from The Falls, The Heights, the back road, MAC'S!

Still cruisin' and lovin' every minute of it all....Jean and Paul

  • The Needham web site is very good and I find the entries in the Needham on-line guest book interesting and illuminating.
Being a former Needham resident (Bird's Hill) and having been a long-time employee of The William Carter Company, I was surprised to have found only one entry from an ex-Carterite. There must be hundreds of them out there and I certainly would like to hear from one or the other who may read this and remember me. I'm now retired and live in SW Florida.

  • It's very interesting to learn about a
town that has the same name as my last
name. It's fun to surf the net and find
this kind of stuff. I learned a lot about
    your town.

  • Lovely site with loads of information.
But....you might want to tell people what state you're in.
The only way I found out was after going through all pages except "History" & "Directions", I hit "History" and read a reference to Boston.
Still, I do love Pansies and would love to visit your area someday.

Laura Baughman Dell - Newton Upper Falls, MA
  • Now that I've had a chance to read what some others have said, I really like it and
no longer feel so "odd". NHS class of '67, but moved away in '69, just returned to the area a year ago
and catching up. Heard there's a reunion next year with '68 - any info? I'm going watch
this site closely now that I've found it.
Thank you Needham for lots of good memories growing up!

  • Thank you for the information about your new children's museum; it sounds wonderful from your description here. I am currently in the process of developing a children's museum here in Klamath Falls, OR, a much needed interactive museum for our children. Since you have so recently acheived your dream of opening a children's museum I would greatly appreciate any of the nitty gritty details which you feel that you could pass on. Sincerely, Laurel Dassoff

  • I just found your site. I grew up in Needham and unfortunatly my family moved to Framingham during the last quarter of my junior year at Needham HS. My grade school was Dwight and I went to Pollard Jr. High and was the first class to stay at Pollard for 9th grade:( We were all looking forward to being on the hill for our freshman year! Even though I didn't graduate from NHS I have always considered myself a Needhamite. Perhaps one of these years I will attend the reunion of the class of 1964 with a former classmate.
Can you put me in touch with a class representative so I will be notified of a reunion in 1999? Thanks

John Devere - State College, PA
  • My name is John Devere and I am a four year architectural engineering student at Penn State. I am writing you because I have a project that you may be able to help me with. In the project we are responsible for
designing a community/ welcome center. We are still in the prelimary design process and are responsible for providing a study on existing similar buildings. Then we need to define the specific characteristics for
our site. I was wondering it was at all possible if you could help us with our study? Any information that you could send would be helpful and very much appricated.
Thank you very much for your time.
