
Submitting Content to NeedhamOnline
If you'd like to provide information to be published on
NeedhamOnline, here are some suggestions:
- Any information relevant to the town is eligible for
inclusion on the site. We will publish, at no charge,
pages for any activity that takes place in the town and
is not specifically commercial.
- Please provide the content at least two weeks
prior to the time that you would like it to
appear on the website.
- We would like to maintain a consistent "look and
feel" for the web site, and are willing to diverge
for specific subsections, such as Park & Rec, the
various arts organizations, such as Needham Community
Theater, and so on. If you do create your own pages,
please email them to us as attachments (zip files
preferred) and we'll.establish the appropriate links.
- Please submit your pages in HTML and
include the appropriate navigation buttons for both your
section of the site, and links back to the NeedhamOnline
home page and table of contents. See the Soccer pages and
the Richard Patton Melick foundation pages for samples.
We have a scanner and can scan your original pictures or
artwork. We will honor any and all existing copyrights, so if you
ask us to post something, please make sure that you have the
right to publish it. If someone else is the original author or
artist, you'll need to get express written permission from them
before we publish it.
We reserve the right to edit any and all submissions for
clarity, length, appropriateness, etc. In addition, please be
sure to get permission from anyone whose phone number may appear
on the web site. Also, we cannot guarantee that items will be
converted and posted within a specific period of time. Our
efforts in hosting and maintaining the site are strictly
voluntary.
