  • Does anyone remeber me? I love Needham. I am a 86er!!! Are there any other 86er's out there? I hope that some of you have been as successful as me!!! Thanks to Needham High, right? Does anyone remember Mrs. Hunter, the librarian? Whatever happened to her? She was nice, I liked her. Did anyone go to the turkey day football game? Who won? I hope Wellesley didn't...I don't like Wellesley! I hope there was some 86er's there! Well, gotta go. If there are any other 86er's out there, give me a call, just look me up in the Needham phone book! BYE!

  • I own a large watercolor painting titled "Bridge, Charles River" circa 1890 by Boston artist Louis K. Harlow (1850-1913) which I believe was painted upstream from the present 1930 bridge at the millpond in Charles River Village. It shows a two-arched stone bridge, with a cottage on the left bank near the bridge. Does anybody have a circa 1890 photo of the earlier bridge which can confirm that it was double-arched then?

  • I sure wish I still lived in Needham. I'll never forget speeding up and down South Street, careening out of control in my blue Gremlin, screaming at the top of my lungs and laughing like a maniac. But those were the 70's. I'll also never forget how they never let "cold lunch" students sit with the "hot lunch" students in grade school. So if you wanted to sit and enjoy lunch like a civilized person with your friends you had to buy lunch or you were humiliated and suffered and made to feel worthless and sub-human. some school system. I'll never forgive that evil town and all of the white hypocrites in it for all the years of humiliation and pain it caused me and a lot of other people. This is not so long ago that this kind of stuff was happeing in that sweet little town.
